The job we all want

We all like to have authority, be recognized for it and be on a vehicle that is moving.

Our little trip on the Orient Express recently (Berlin to Bucharest )  provided lots of light relief from the routines of normal life.
The most memorable was one section with sleeper car for 24 hrs,  a guard for our carriage and a guide for every station.  The full story later.

And not doing much is good stimulation to think about those who do still have to do things.
For example. What would be the best job one could ever want and with post industrial revolution realities finally hitting home, ...how little can we do and still get paid for it.
You know, or should know, that what I have just said is just a recipe for stalemate in you and those around you, so keep listening.

And not doing much is good stimulation to think about those who seemed to have managed to get themselves into positions where they don't seem to do much---who manage to get the uniform and be on a train that's moving. (baggage and people with baggage and no mind comes to mind)
Don't you just love these wonderful Romanians.
Son is working in the shade,
More on how we can inspire countries to better use their young people in regional areas in a subsequent post. The cities ( our current focus) aren't the only place where Authority needs to be real, effective and inspirational

After all that's what our natural instincts and our Marxists , post Marxists friends and high-flying cloud occupants want us all to find - a job. To talk only of a mere job makes me wonder whether they have ever moved on from one; clearly, they don't know much better and can't seem to see how much better a career and its mate, a calling is.

Yes we must go there more careers and less jobs
and more jobs where we offer the chance to think

What anyone who knows how to live knows, is that having a job is not enough.
Human beings need to actually have some authority and be recognized for it. And there are more ways to get authority than seeking it with the monkeys in the trees
Paradoxically the act of physically moving is not enough. Infact, that moving on nonsense (remember that phrase of Tony Jones of the ABC) reminds me that real change and growth can be completely illusory with most people on trains taking them nowhere different from where they started.
That kind of movement we can all do without - shalom and peace to all.

And so for some highlights of the trip .......see the next post  ( still in Draft sorry)

-All kinds of very long goods trains rushed through the station as we waited for 5 hours on the platform . canola wheat wood and fuel . will the night train ever arrive ?
-Our carriage guide had to restop the whole train because he didn't get us on in time and didn't communicate stop to the driver
- Our carriage manager didn't offer us services till we asked for coffee and offered to pay for it.
- Our carriage manager wouldn't allow us to open windows or the doors to the next carriage so we could go for a walk around.
--There were well dressed guards at each station on the way who just stood there whether the train was stopping or not. Even when the train stopped the station attendant did not do anything but stand there. they certainly looked good but we would all hope for more satisfaction developing from more initiatives from such officers.

The lack of self-initiative proved the way of things to come across the countries.  No wonder progress is slow and has been slow.

Maybe the extent of their training was a rule book and a teacher who never inspired them to use their brains (who told them nature is the only ruler as our western teachers also now do)
SO --is the disease of a lack of initiative only an Eastern problem?
We may not want rules, but we all need guidelines about where authorship and responsibility come from.
We need the freedom of living on our own wits -- our Authority given by God to be ourselves  ; before Him first.

We all like to have authority, be recognized for it and be on a vehicle that is moving. I know because I had a job like that. Such jobs are rare now the only teacher seems to be nature in the raw )

We all need to be doing something useful along the line to make that happen and the witness outside the window part of our trip was a perfect illustration of how when poorly integrated those  3  desirable things result in the opposite of what we want them to be -- on their own and poorly integrated they result in poverty of spirit and adventure , Just wearing the uniform is never enough . you have to use it to help the passengers.

And for all those currently wearing the uniform, the real danger is that the people like us will see you are not dedicated to doing the full job.
I am talking now to those in the West . You may have all three but you are not free like the forefathers  were  free .

Even if others don't see you doing the full job , you know the bars of the prison you are building or living in currently.   If you don't act your part or break out  and you don't play your proper part and exercise true honest authority in your place, you will not only have no job satisfaction

, but will eventually be thrown out on your ear. You and your community lose big time.

We all like to have authority, be recognized for it and be on a vehicle that is moving. I know because i had a job like that.   there is of course a lot of short cutting going on so i will explore these things in more detail later. meanwhile enjoy the trip you are on - it may not last if we have too many passengers and not enough steam and wisdom to drive us to somewhere more interesting than a mere station.  They are building lots of them in Romania,

Clearly there is lots to do everywhere . Look at those hills

And you know what --that bit of fine clothing artwork and the officer parade will draw crowds -- well done !
